sQuid

sQuid - a smarter way to pay for the little things in life!

Since August 2010 residents of Aberdeen City can pay for low value items using an electronic purse called sQuid. sQuid is a faster and more convenient way to pay for low value items such as a sandwich, skate hire at Linx Ice arena, photocopy fees at Central Library or refreshments after your gym class. Provost Skene's Cellar CafĂ© amongst many other locations in Aberdeen City already accept sQuid and many more retailers will follow. For a full list of locations that already accept sQuid visit sQuid in Aberdeen .

This smarter way of paying is very convenient as it means that you no longer will have to search for lose change - just tap your card and go! sQuid is not a debit or credit card so you can only spend up to the amount loaded on your card so it's good for budgeting! Loading money onto your Accord Card is really easy and secure, either online or at certain retailers in the city so you don't even need to have a bank account.
