The Accord Card, Aberdeen City Council's smartcard, not only provides concessionary Travel to anyone aged 60 and over and many disabled people, it also gives secondary school pupils access to Cashless Catering at all of Aberdeen City Council's secondary schools and can be used as your library membership card across all of the City's libraries.

Whether you are 18 and want to buy a drink at a pub or you are 15 and want to buy tickets at a cinema, you may find the Accord Card useful as Proof of Age without having to carry your passport or driving licence around.

Sport Aberdeen members will appreciate the Accord Card as their Sport Aberdeen Membership card and many young people already make good use of the Young Scot information portal.

Depending on your circumstances, you may also qualify for Access to Leisure. That could be anything from FREE swimming to DISCOUNTS on sporting and leisure activities to HALF PRICE childcare! Visit the Access to Leisure to find out more.

What's more, the Accord Card is FREE and Aberdeen City residents can also get up to 50% discount on many things from leisure, sport to audio visual lending at libraries across the City.

Be smart and get 1/3 off bus travel with your Accord / Young Scot Card!

First Bus Aberdeen, in partnership with Transport Scotland, has upgraded its ticket machines meaning young people aged 16-18 that live in Aberdeen City no longer need to use the 'Bus Concession Card' but can just swipe their Accord / Young Scot Card at the ticket machine to get 1/3 off any single adult fare.

Please note that not all bus services in Scotland recognise the Young Scot Card yet and if you travel with a bus operator that doesn't recognise the card yet you will need to have a 'Bus Concession Card' to get your 1/3 off on board. For First Bus Aberdeen however you no longer will need a 'Bus Concession Card'.

Did you know that the Accord/Young Scot Card is available to everybody aged 11 - 26 and gives young people access to special offers and discounts in over 1,500 shops and services across Scotland and a further 80,000 across Europe. Visit the Young Scot website to find out more.
