Moving up to Secondary School
As your child is moving up to secondary school s/he will need an Accord Card to pay for meals and snacks. The Accord Card, which works similar to a bank account, is used at all of the councils secondary schools and allows your child to pay for meals in the school canteen and at vending machines.
You shortly will receive a letter with information on how to apply for your child's Accord Card. Please do complete the Accord Card application for your child as soon as possible to ensure that the card is ready at your child's secondary school on induction day. I would like to apply for my Child's Primary 7 Accord Card now.
If you have any questions regarding the Accord Card please visit the FAQ's - Accord Card Application for Primary 7 Pupils section. If you are unable to complete the Accord Card application online please contact the Acoord office by email to email@example.com or phone 01224 346834.
New Meal Ordering & Payment System at Coronation Court
The council has completed an extensive review of sheltered and very sheltered housing (The Very Sheltered Housing Review 2015) and one of the key findings of the review is the requirement for a fairer and more consistent approach to meal provision at all very sheltered housing.
MyChoice is a new meal order and payment system which delivers a fairer and more consistent approach to meal provision at all of the council's very sheltered housing developments. This new system replaces the current paper menu with an online system which allows tenants to pre-order and pay for their preferred menu choices. The system means that each tenant has a meal ordering 'account' which is linked to their Accord Card. Meals will be ordered in advance for the week ahead and tenants will use their Accord Card to access their 'account' and place their order. To find our more about MyChoice visit the MyChoice website.
We have created a MyChoice video that provides more information on how the new system works.
